Good Samaritan with the Cross painting | Olga Bakhtina

Good Samaritan with the Cross [ 2021, oil on canvas, 100 cm x 100 cm x 4 cm, $2,200 ]

The parable of Good Samaritan is told by Jesus in response to a lawyer’s question “And who is my neighbor?” in the Gospel of Luke. The parable tells us about a traveler who is robbed, beaten, stripped of his clothes, and left to die on the side of the road.  Both, a Jewish priest and a Levite pass by the poor man avoiding him. Luckily for him, a Samaritan comes along and saves his life, in spite of the fact that Samaritans and Jews despised each other.

As an alternative to the original painting, it is available as limited edition high-quality Fine Art prints on archival cotton rag paper. Please email me at olchik_b@yahoo.com for the details.
